Weekly Roundup:

Hey, everybody! Dino and Wy here to bring back the Weekly Roundup! It’s a bit dusty in here, so please forgive us as we sweep away the dust and spiderwebs – you guys really need a broom. We’re pretty sure we just saw a Silvermine Rat skitter out the door. Yikes.

We're back!

Some of you may be asking, ”What on earth is a Weekly Roundup and why is it being brought back?” So, for some of our newer Valence folks, a Weekly Roundup is a fun little rundown of the events of the past week (or however often we sit down to debrief on the latest Valence happenings and write it down for all of y’all). For our less new Valence folks: feel old yet?

Masquerade Balls and DEW, what it means for you

Orlan was packed with people on Saturday attending the Determiners’ Gilded Masquerade hosted at the Duchy of Norbrook. Karans showed up in style, sporting masks with matching outfits and color-coordinated group outfits to meet some members of the Determiners from outside of Kara. Arriving on a massive ship now harbored in the bay, the newcomers included Agostino, famed explorer Eargus Glowgoarge, and Tarvisa Ebernet, among others. Bringing currency from the greater world, mangoes, and several other exotic goods, the Determiners surely had a successful evening.

Manhunt across Kara

Saturday night was an action-packed night, beginning with the Gilded Masquerade and ending with a manhunt for a wanted criminal, Urfin Kurz, whose warrant had been signed by a Gold Court Justice earlier in the day. Groups of Karans, including various House Guards, searched throughout Orlan, eventually reaching a confrontation on the docks of Stone Bay. Thanks to everyone involved, Kurz was arrested and is now awaiting a trial. (Keep an eye out on The Board for a trial date. If you’re interested in getting into legal RP, the Constabulary is looking for a lawyer for Kurz. More info here).

Recalls and Confiscations

We’re sure you’ve seen the new M1 weapons and the new updates we’ve been making recently, and we’re excited to bring you some more new things! However, that does mean that we need to remove the unbalanced old items: the confiscation date for the first batch of items was the end of August. Thank you for your cooperation in selling your old items to DEW. If you find an item that has yet to be confiscated, feel free to Open a Ticket to have Support Team swing by and delete it. Keeping old and unbalanced items is not an option. There’s a second list of items on the recall list for the end of September, including the old Kamaria faction gear, the silk touch tools, and several other items found here. Make sure to make an appointment with DEW to sell your items before they disappear.

The Weekly Roundup and You

We are very excited to bring back the Weekly Roundup and we want everyone else to get involved too: we’re going to be grabbing photos from the Media Pile for the weekly roundup. Drop some fun screenshots there and we’ll try to add them here!

See y’all server-side!
