The Registry Office

Hey guys! Kayse here.
So obviously we have a very complex government system that can be a bit confusing at times. One part of the system that is often overlooked is the Registry Office. The Registry Office is located on the Government Island, along with the Prismarine Citadel, Parliament Building, and the Orlan Post-Office. Despite it's small scale compared to the buildings around it, the Registry Office is one of great importance.
A visit to the Registry Office is needed for many things in Kara:
- Citizenship
- Marriage
- Adoption
- Divorces & Annulments
- Address Changes
- In-Character Name Changes
Why should you care? Glad you asked. This is a roleplay server, after all- many people want to grow their characters and their stories. They want glory, honour, and perhaps even a family. Well- glory and honour typically are found in positions that require citizenship, and well you can't have a growing family without marriage or adoption. (Not to mention you have to be a citizen to marry or adopt.)
A lot of these processes require a few things, such as filling out the form, paying the Registry a visit, and paying a (usually) small fee of silver.
- Citizenship - 1,024sp fee
- Currently citizenship applications are closed, as we are reworking the requirements. Keep an eye out for more information!
- Marriage - 256sp fee
- Requires a signed letter from an Exarch, Synarch, or Paladin approving the process.
- Adoption - 256sp fee
- Requires a signed letter from an Exarch, Synarch, or Paladin approving the process.
- Divorces & Annulments - 64sp fee
- Requires a signed letter from an Exarch, Synarch, or Paladin approving the process.
- Address Changes - No fee
- In-Character Name Changes - 16sp fee
The Registry Office opens by itself every so often, so always be sure to keep an eye on The Board for it's opening schedule. Don't worry though if you can never seem to make it to it's scheduled openings, they take appointments!
Where are the forms, you ask? Good thing I made them! Keep this post in mind if you need to find them in the future.
- Citizenship Form
- Address Change Form
- Adoption Form
- Marital Sepsration Form
- Name Change Form
- Address Change Form
And just as a little treat, here's some frequently asked questions about the Registry Office. Registry Office FAQ
So there ya go! You know are armed with everything you need to start your search for glory, honour, and a family (maybe). I hope this helped y'all at least a little bit.
Love, Kayse
