Hi everyone! As many of you know there's been some exciting and transformative events on Rohvencost as of late. All of the remaining factions are migrating to Orlan, and with a now mostly empty instance, we have decided to close Rohvencost on Saturday, May 20, 2023 11:59 PM.

It's not an easy thing to make a decision like this, and we understand that support for a great transition is needed. To that end both in and out of character we'll be doing everything we can to help those who need help moving their stuff or builds. The decision broke down to a couple key factors:

1. Server Resources - Each server - regardless of slots - takes up a minimum amount of server resources. This amount is substantial. By clearing one of these costly and under-utilized servers off the board we make space for new and exciting projects.

2. Player & Roleplay Density - Some of you have heard me talk about this before, we have a problem - a serious one - with density. We've built things far too wide rather than tall, folks are spread very thin across our vast landscape, that makes organic roleplay very difficult to encounter 'on the roads'. The more we can bring people together and the fewer times people have to traverse instances, the better.

3. What Remains - The two factions that were on Rohvencost, Tortuga and Meloria will be combining to create the new Kingdom of Soleil and they will be settling on Orlan this week! Then there's the magic school, as some of you may know @Blue will be the head of a new magic school in Orlan. Stay tuned in a week or so for more info on that.

Points of Interest

We're going to be working hard to ensure that all of our NPCs are moved over to other instances as fast as we can. We'll be moving forward in-character to move POIs like Mother's Mirror over to another instance. New locations for POIs will be announced when they get moved.

Supports & Assistance

In-Character - The people of Soleil are being assisted in their transition by the current government of Stone Bay, following some in-character announcements later, processes and office hours will be established to able to meet with those who can get you assistance in-character. From moving your stuff or helping rebuild elsewhere, we're here for anyone and everyone in-character.

My friends, I would like you all to join me in helping those who may still remain find new homes or discover old ones elsewhere.
