New monsters and specters are haunting the lands, and tasty treats await those who best them! You may notice frightening new seasonal mobs spawning across the overworld - killing these creatures will drop delicious candy!

Spirit Candy will also drop from these creatures, with an important use case outlined below!

A new storefront opens up in Stone Bay, hiding a nefarious purpose behind black banners.

Players can find Zara across from the city’s train station. Interacting with her and paying the sum of 16 Silver will assign each player to one of four houses, based on Zara’s intuition.

Each team will compete to collect as much Spirit Candy as possible before November 4th, wherein all players belonging to the team that collected the most Spirit Candy will receive an exclusive and spooky decoration to celebrate their victory (and gloat to those soulbond to opposing forces).

As well, all participants will receive an exclusive Halloween 2023 Chat tag under /tags!

Changes to Nametags

To ensure a stable and lag-free environment as we continue to add content to Valence, we have made the decision to remove the TOP line of player nametags.

As a result, only character names will be visible moving forward.

But fret not! To ensure you can still sneakily grab the username of your new player besties, we've devised a new public command to identify players Minecraft usernames or nicknames!

We've also added purple name tags for event runners to help distinguish them during events!

Simply use the /id command like so:

• Aim your cursor over the player you'd like to use /id on.

• Use the /id command.

• Profit.

Character Customization

Our lovely Production Team has prepared something we are beyond excited to present. Specialized cosmetics for multiple character races. Here's the short list of everything we've pushed live today:

• Elf Ears
• Antlers x5
• Antlers + Elf Ears x5
• Horns x5
• Horns + Elf Ears x5
• Lizardfolk Cosmetics x3
• Tusks + Elf Ears x2

Simply use the /cosmetic command in-game to access the suite of them!

It's important to note - you cannot equip a Character Customization item & a hat at the same time. Those ears and antlers are too big!

These cosmetics are available NOW for all current Premium and Supporter subscribers, as well as all staff until November 4th.

We intend to add more cosmetics like this in the future, so please tell us what you think!
